How Does Success Coaching & Case Management Increase Retention?


Since 2007, Graduation Alliance has been providing at-risk learners with the holistic support they need to achieve their educational goals. Students — especially those who are facing challenging life circumstances — need academic and life support to help them succeed in their journeys to program completion.

Utilizing eight components of student success, our team:

  • Monitors student pace and progress
  • Provides support to keep learners engaged
  • Helps students navigate obstacles to engagement
  • Supports students in developing the skills they need to succeed

What Makes Success Coaching & Case Management Different?


We focus on at-risk students across multiple disciplines while emphasizing pace, progress, and support with life challenges.

Rather than overspecializing in an area like telehealth, advising, or test prep, our team is trained across multiple disciplines to help students navigate any academic or life challenges that may come their way.

Each of our partner institutions has a playbook that is fleshed out with institution-specific resources our coaches use to provide highly personalized support to students, effectively integrating our coaches with your team. The playbook includes:

  • Information for main points of contact within the institution
  • Institutional resources to help with academic, essential, wellness and safety, specialized services, and campus life needs
  • College policies and procedures

Our team works in tandem with your advisors by helping students remove barriers and become the best students they can be. Here are just a few of the differences between the two roles:

Net Promoter Score


Net Promoter Score is a measure of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Scores are calculated by asking one simple question: “On a scale of 0-10, how likely are you to recommend Graduation Alliance to your friends and family?” Respondents are grouped into three categories based on their score: promoters, passives, and detractors:

  • Promoters rate Graduation Alliance a 9 or 10
  • Passives rate Graduation Alliance 7 or 8
  • Detractors rate Graduation Alliance 0 to 6

NPS is calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters. According to SchoolAdmin.com, an excellent NPS is anything above 70 on a scale of -100 to 100. Graduation Alliance’s Success Coaching & Case Management team has an excellent NPS of 92.
