Get Credit-Deficient Seniors Across the Finish Line

What are some ways you help your credit-deficient students over the finish line? School districts we work with often have a menu of options to help these students. Options include:

  • Tutors
  • After-school study sessions
  • Summer school
  • Credit recovery
  • Modified grading (Pass/fail system)
  • Teacher office hours
  • Credit waivers
  • Pace- and progress-focused coaches
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) programs
  • No two students have the same challenges preventing them from graduating on time, so having a variety of options is helpful for administrators as they decide how to handle each case.

Tutors, teacher office hours, pace- and progress-focused coaches, and study sessions work well for students who are a little bit behind and have the ability to catch up. More intensive options like credit recovery, summer school, modified grading, and credit waivers may be necessary for those who are severely behind or facing circumstances outside of their control.

Graduation Alliance works with school districts across the country to offer asynchronous dropout recovery programs that can be used for credit recovery and summer school. Classes start every business day and only take three weeks to complete, giving credit-deficient students a fast track to graduation.

Many teens could benefit from an asynchronous option, especially those who are employed, have responsibilities outside of school, or are struggling with personal challenges. Asynchronous options allow students to…

  • Set their own schedule
  • Work on coursework at their own pace
  • Balance school with other priorities
  • Graduation Alliance’s dropout recovery program pairs time and place flexibility with a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS). Designed for at-risk students, our curriculum is taught by highly qualified teachers and supported by an Academic Coach and 24/7 virtual tutors. Students are also paired up with a Local Advocate who helps them navigate personal challenges and get connected to community resources like support for housing, food, utility bills, child care, and transportation.

In addition to supporting your students, we are also a cost-effective option. Graduation Alliance operates on a pay-for-performance model, so you’ll only pay when students earn credits.
