Benjamin knew more doors would open to him with a high school diploma.

But with a requirement to spend six hours per day at a place he didn’t want to be, he knew the traditional high school setting wasn’t for him.

“It was a struggle,” he said. “I looked at getting a general education degree, but I looked down on that a little bit.”

Graduation Alliance helped Benjamin recover some credits he might have missed out on at high school. He said the advocates and meet-ups were a big help in his reaching graduation.

“They really helped me to stay consistent with the work,” he said. “Any hardships with classes, and my academic coach would be the first person I would call.”

Benjamin plans to go into the military. He said he even wants to continue is education with the Army.

“Thank you, Graduation Alliance,” he said.
